Officer's Duties & Requirements

DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT

  • Preside at all meetings of the Club and Executive Board and have general supervision of the work and activities of the organization.
  • Appoint Chairmen of Standing and special Committees with approval of the Executive Board.
  • Appoint all committees, the appointment of such committees to be approved by the Executive Board.
  • Sign checks in an emergency, in the absence or inability of the Treasurer to do so.
  • Represent the organization at all times--or designate someone in her absence.
  • Serve as liaison between the organization and FFRW.
  • Appoint a Parliamentarian who shall meet the same requirements as set forth for elected officers but shall not be a voting member of the Executive Board.


DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT

  • Assist the President.
  • Perform the duties of the President in her absence.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.


DUTIES OF THE VICE PRESIDENTS

  • To assist the President.
  • To president meetings in absence of the President-elect and President.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.
DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY
  • Shall keep and read, unless printed and mailed to all members, the minutes of all meetings of the Club and the Executive Board.
DUTIES OF THE TREASURER
  • To receive and be custodian of all funds of the Club and shall pay all bills authorized by the Club.
  • The Treasurer shall keep an account in full at all regular meetings.
  • Shall keep an up-to-date roster of the membership of the Club.
  • The books of the Treasurer shall be audited in November on an annual basis by an Auditing Committee appointed by the Executive Board.

  • Requirements for Officers:

    The officers shall be elected by ballot to serve for one year or until their successors are elected.  Officers shall be elected in October and installed at the November meeting.  All officers and Committee Chairmen shall deliver all records, files, and properties of the Club to their successors in office within one (1) month after retiring from office.

    A Nominating Committee of three (3) members shall be elected by the Club at the September meeting.

    Election shall be by ballot, except when there is but one candidate for office, in which event, election may be by voice.  A majority shall elect.

    All nominees shall be registered Republicans with dues current.

    Resignation from office shall be in writing to the Executive Board.  The executive Board shall have the authority to fill any vacancies in any elected office until the annual election.
